Police Arrest 101 Suspects in Greater Accra During Christmas Security Operations

The Greater Accra Regional Police Command has arrested 101 suspects during a series of special security operations aimed at ensuring safety and maintaining law and order during the Christmas festivities.
The arrests were made as part of intensified patrols and targeted operations conducted across several crime-prone areas, including Kwame Nkrumah Circle, Nungua, Adabraka, Achimota, East Legon, and the Railways enclave.
According to the police, the operations form part of a broader strategy to curb criminal activity and provide a peaceful environment for residents and visitors during the festive season. The exercise focused on visibility patrols, stop-and-search operations, and intelligence-led interventions.
Police authorities say the suspects were arrested for various offences, though details of the specific charges are yet to be released. Investigations are ongoing, and those found culpable will be processed in accordance with the law.
