Parliament Confirms Madina MP Francis-Xavier Sosu in Stable Condition After Taking Ill at GIMPA
Parliament has confirmed that the Member of Parliament for Madina Constituency, Hon. Dr Francis-Xavier Sosu, is in stable condition and receiving medical attention after taking ill while delivering a presentation at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).
In a press release issued for immediate release, Parliament noted with concern a video circulating on social media showing the Honourable Member taking ill during the event.
The Honourable Member received immediate assistance at the event and was transferred to a medical facility, where he is under the care of his medical team.
Parliament extended its appreciation to the management and staff of GIMPA, the attending medical personnel, and all who responded promptly. It also thanked the public for the prayers and messages of goodwill received.
Parliament respectfully urged the public and the media to desist from sharing the video out of respect for the Honourable Member and his family, refrain from speculation on the cause of the incident or his condition, and respect the privacy of the family during this period.
