Okyenhene Predicts Peaceful Elections: ‘Ghana Remains a Big Family

The Okyenhene, Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin, has confidently declared that Ghana will remain peaceful after the December 7 general election, contradicting predictions of chaos. Addressing a durbar marking the 25th anniversary of his ascension to the Ofori Panin Stool, he attributed this assurance to Ghana’s successful election history since 1992.

The Okyenhene emphasized that Ghana’s harmonious nature, where citizens regard each other as family, would prevent any untoward behavior during elections. He encouraged voters to exercise their right to vote for the party that would improve their socio-economic conditions and return home peacefully after casting their ballots.

“Ghana will not experience war after the elections because we are peace-loving people,” he assured. “Peace will reign before, during, and after the elections.”

Additionally, the Okyenhene commended President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s vision for universal education and urged parents to take advantage of this initiative. He also called on the government to bring more development projects to Asiakwa and employ local school leavers.

The event, attended by dignitaries from various walks of life, was a testament to the Okyenhene’s commitment to peace and development in Ghana.
