NPP Outlines Programme and Voter Identification Requirements for 3 October National Officers Elections
The New Patriotic Party’s National Officers Elections Committee has issued guidelines for the Party’s conference scheduled for 3 October 2026, outlining the programme schedule and voter identification requirements for delegates.
In a notice dated 30 September 2026, the Committee, chaired by Frederick Opare-Ansah, informed all constituency, regional and national officers as well as delegates of the arrangements for the day.
The Party’s programme will take place in two main stages:
Constitutional Amendments will commence at exactly 9:00 a.m.
Election of National Officers is expected to commence at 12:00 p.m.
Voting will take place across 31 polling stations for the following nine elected positions:
National Chairman
Vice Chairman
General Secretary
National Organiser
National Women’s Organiser
National Youth Organiser
National Nasara Organiser
National Treasurer
National Communications Director
The Electoral Commission (EC) will conduct the elections and verify every voter. Each delegate seeking to vote must have their name on the delegates’ register and present one valid identification document: a Voter ID card, Ghana Card, or NPP party card.
Delegates are advised to bring one of these identification documents and allow sufficient time for verification before voting begins.
All constituency, regional and national officers have been requested to bring the notice to the attention of delegates under their respective jurisdictions.
The Committee stressed that punctuality and cooperation will help ensure the orderly consideration of constitutional amendments and the smooth conduct of the elections of national officers.
