Defeated NPP Eastern Chairman Aspirant Congratulates Jeff Konadu Addo

The defeated aspiring Eastern Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwadwo Boateng-Agyemang, popularly known as Chairman Cudjoe, has congratulated the newly elected Regional Chairman, Jeff Konadu Addo, and pledged his full support and cooperation to the incoming leadership.

In a statement following the regional executive elections, Cudjoe thanked NPP delegates and members across the Eastern Region for their support, sacrifices and confidence in his campaign.

He acknowledged his defeat in the contest, saying it would not affect his loyalty and commitment to the party.

“Though we did not win the regional election, my loyalty and commitment to the party remain unwavering,” he said.

Cudjoe congratulated Mr Konadu Addo on his victory and extended his goodwill to the entire incoming regional executive, expressing his readiness to work with the new leadership to strengthen the party.

He called on party members to put the regional contest behind them and unite around the NPP’s flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, ahead of the 2028 general elections.

“Now, let us put the regional contest behind us and fully rally behind our flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, and his vision for a new Ghana,” he said.

According to him, the NPP’s agenda for the 2028 elections requires the collective energy, commitment and unity of all party members.

He described the election defeat as “simply another chapter” in his political journey and urged his supporters to remain committed to the broader objectives of the party.

“Together, let us build a stronger NPP and, ultimately, a stronger Ghana,” he added.

Cudjoe’s statement comes as the NPP concludes its regional executive elections and begins preparations to reorganise its structures ahead of the 2028 general elections.

Jeff Konadu Addo polled 405 votes to defeat his closest contender, Kwadwo Boateng-Agyemang, a former New Juaben North Constituency Chairman, who secured 292 votes.
