New Patriotic Party (NPP) Greater Accra Regional Organiser hopeful Moses Abor has pledged to win all 18 parliamentary seats in the region for the party if elected.
According to him, he has already put structures in place to help the NPP reclaim parliamentary seats and strengthen its grassroots base ahead of the 2028 general elections.
“My target is to win all 18 parliamentary seats for the NPP in the Greater Accra Region, and I have put structures in place to fulfil that promise,” he said.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen, Mr Abor said his experience as a former Regional Youth Organiser had equipped him with the skills and strategies needed to lead the party in the region.
He said during his tenure as Regional Youth Organiser, the number of Tertiary Students Confederacy Network (TESCON) institutions in Greater Accra increased significantly from 23 to 52.
“When I was Regional Youth Organiser, TESCON institutions in Greater Accra were 23. When I was leaving, it had increased to 52. Now it has reduced to 35,” he said.
Mr Abor also claimed that under his leadership, the NPP did not lose any Students’ Representative Council (SRC) election in the region, describing the achievement as part of his strategic approach to party organisation.
“Under my leadership as the Regional Youth Organiser, there was no SRC election that an NPP person lost. It is one of my strategies. I am not only a mobiliser; I am a strategist,” he said.
He further pointed to his experience as an Assembly Member for three consecutive terms, saying he intends to apply the district assembly concept to the NPP’s organisational structures if elected Regional Organiser.
According to him, his experience at the assembly level and access to data across the Greater Accra Region would help the party identify areas where it needs to strengthen its presence.
“As someone who has been an Assembly Member three consecutive times, the assembly concept is one of the things I will implement as the Regional Organiser because I have all the data in Greater Accra,” he said.
Mr Abor said discipline would be a major priority under his leadership, adding that his proposed district assembly concept would form the foundation of his strategy to reorganise the party at the grassroots.
“The organiser’s job is huge. We need discipline. Under my leadership, my first project is to make sure the district assembly concept is my priority,” he said.
He added that constituency executives had responded positively to his proposal and that the next step would be to provide the necessary logistics and support to begin identifying suitable parliamentary candidates.
“All my message to the constituency executives, they are buying into it. So all I need now is the logistics, support and energy to make sure all the constituencies start doing candidate search. It is the first step, and we have to make the foundation strong,” he said.
Mr Abor expressed confidence that his strategy could help the NPP break the dominance of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Greater Accra.
“I am the only person who will break the front of the NDC. I have the key to Greater Accra,” he added.
