NPP Bono East Regional Executive Elections Results Declared

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has declared the results of its Bono East Regional Executive Elections, with Ibrahim Bukari Baba emerging as the new Regional Chairman.

Bukari Baba secured 180 votes to defeat Thomas Adu Appiah, who polled 73 votes. One ballot was rejected in the race for the top position.

In the contest for First Vice Chairman, Alexander Gyan emerged victorious with 149 votes. Alhaji Ibrahim Mohammed obtained 92 votes, while Peter Koranteng managed 10 votes. One ballot was rejected.

Amofa Atta Kofi won the Second Vice Chairman position with 132 votes, defeating Baba Abdallah Baba who polled 122 votes.

David Boakye was elected Regional Secretary after securing 181 votes against Peter Mensah’s 70 votes. Two ballots were rejected.

Mahama Seidu Liman won the Assistant Secretary race with 178 votes, while Boateng Ebenezer obtained 76 votes.

Musah Sulemana was elected as Regional Organiser.

In the Youth Organiser contest, Mohammed Bello edged Charlse Addo with 128 votes to 126.

Sophia Afriyie Danso was elected Women’s Organiser after polling 161 votes against Akosua Kuffour’s 91 votes.

Ahaji Jibrill Abubakar secured the Nasara Coordinator position with 178 votes, defeating Alhaji Adamu Mohammed who obtained 75 votes.

Charity Saab Adjei emerged as the new Regional Treasurer with 102 votes. She was followed by Tadi Banyo Charlse with 67 votes, Gloria Awua Mullen with 51 votes, and Boahemaa Martha with 32 votes.

Owusu Agyei Ebenezer won the Communications Officer position with 117 votes. Kofi Ohene Sakyi polled 114 votes, while Ansu Seidu obtained 23 votes.

The elections form part of the NPP’s ongoing internal reorganisation ahead of the 2028 general elections.
