In a statement posted on its official Facebook page on Wednesday, January 22, 2026, the Authority explained that the price revisions are necessary to support the long-term sustainability, efficiency, and quality of its operations.
The revised charges apply to the following services:
- First-time registration
- Updates to personal information
- Replacement of the Ghana Card
- Nationality updates
- Registration of non-citizen cards
The NIA urged the public to take note of the new fee structure and assured citizens that the adjustments will contribute to enhanced service quality, faster processing times, and overall improvement in the national identification system.
The Authority reiterated its commitment to providing reliable, accessible, and efficient services to all Ghanaians and residents in need of identification documentation.
Further details on the exact revised amounts can be found on the NIA’s official website and social media platforms.
