NAGRAT Demands Swift Prosecution of Kade SHS Students Over Teacher Assault

The Eastern Regional Chapter of the National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT) has urged immediate investigations and legal action against Kade Senior High School students who ambushed and assaulted a teacher outside campus in retaliation for October 2025 disciplinary measures.
A viral video captured around six students attacking the educator. Despite police launching probes at the time, no arrests or charges have followed.
Regional NAGRAT Chairman Awoonor-Yevu Godwin insisted on “lawful sanctions” to deter future incidents, warning that such violence erodes school discipline and teacher safety.
The Centre for Research on Education Policy (CREP) echoed condemnation: “Violence against teachers is unacceptable, unlawful, and a grave threat to the stability and quality of Ghana’s educational environment. Teachers must never be subjected to intimidation or physical attack for carrying out their professional responsibilities.”
