MP cuts sod for construction of 24-hour economy market at Sefwi Bekwai

The Member of Parliament for , , has officially cut sod for the construction of a modern 24-hour economy market at .
The project forms part of the government’s flagship 24-hour economy initiative introduced by to stimulate local economic growth, improve trading activities and create more business opportunities across the country.
Speaking during the ceremony, the MP explained that the current Sefwi Bekwai market is in a poor state and would require huge financial resources for renovation. According to him, the new 24-hour market project offers a more sustainable and economically beneficial solution for the community.
He also noted that a suitable parcel of land has already been secured to support the large-scale infrastructure development.
Meanwhile, the Paramount Chief of Sefwi Bekwai, , welcomed the initiative, saying the project would help address challenges faced by traders and market women while boosting commercial activities and socio-economic development in the area.
