Minority Caucus Embarks on Bono East Tour to Engage Farmers

The Minority Caucus in Parliament, led by the Chief Whip and Member of Parliament for Nsawam-Adoagyiri, Frank Annoh-Dompreh, has begun a strategic tour of the Bono East Region to engage farmers and key stakeholders within the agricultural sector.
The tour is aimed at gaining a deeper understanding of the challenges affecting major crop producers, particularly in cocoa, cashew, yam, and maize value chains.
During the engagement, the Caucus is interacting directly with farmers to gather practical insights on issues such as rising input costs, limited access to credit, poor road infrastructure, and post-harvest losses.
The initiative, according to the team, forms part of efforts to amplify the concerns of farmers and advocate for sustainable solutions to improve productivity and livelihoods while strengthening food security nationwide.
The three-day tour is also expected to inform parliamentary debates and shape targeted interventions to revitalise Ghana’s agricultural sector.
On the first day of the visit, the delegation is scheduled to tour the Atebubu-Amantin, Pru West, and Kintampo North constituencies.
Residents, party supporters, and farmers in the affected areas have been encouraged to actively participate in the engagements to share their experiences and concerns.
