Ministry of the Interior Announces Merit-Based Recruitment for Internal Security Services 2025

The Ministry of the Interior has officially launched a nationwide recruitment drive for the Internal Security Services (ISS), emphasizing transparency, fairness, and merit as the cornerstone of the selection process. This initiative, aimed at bolstering Ghana’s security apparatus amid evolving national challenges, opens applications on November 15, 2025, and closes on December 15, 2025, providing a one-month window for eligible Ghanaians to apply.
In a public notice released today, November 14, 2025, the Ministry reiterated its zero-tolerance policy against corruption in the recruitment exercise. “The process will be free, fair, and strictly based on merit,” the statement declared. Prospective applicants are sternly warned against engaging middlemen or paying bribes, with assurances that any such malpractices will lead to immediate disqualification and potential legal action. “This recruitment is not for sale – your qualifications and dedication to service are what matter,” the notice added, underscoring the government’s commitment to equitable opportunities.
The Internal Security Services, a key arm under the Ministry of the Interior, plays a vital role in maintaining public order, countering internal threats, and supporting national stability. This year’s recruitment targets motivated individuals across various regions, with positions spanning entry-level officers to specialized roles in intelligence, operations, and administration. Successful candidates will undergo rigorous training at designated security academies, contributing to Ghana’s broader security framework alongside agencies like the Ghana Police Service and National Intelligence Bureau.
