On August 1, 2025, a tragic accident in Ejisu, Ashanti Region, claimed the life of a man known locally as “Alligator.” The incident occurred while he was assisting in loading a bulldozer onto a low-bed trailer.
According to eyewitnesses, a brake failure on the trailer caused “Alligator,” who was standing atop the vehicle guiding operations, to fall and become trapped beneath the heavy equipment, resulting in his instant death. His body was transported to the Ejisu Government Hospital morgue.
The Ejisu District Police Command has launched an investigation to determine the exact cause and circumstances of the accident, focusing on the mechanical failure reported during the loading process.
The incident has raised concerns about workplace safety and equipment maintenance in the region.
