Lil Win Eyes Afigya Kwabre North Seat in 2028

Kumawood actor and comedian Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lil Win, has announced his intention to contest the Afigya Kwabre North parliamentary seat in Ghana’s 2028 elections as an independent candidate.

In an interview on July 17, 2025, with Kojo Sebor and Cute Rossy on Angel FM, Lil Win expressed his ambition to unseat the incumbent MP, Collins Adomako-Mensah, inspired by the success of entertainers like Baba Sadiq, Kwame A Plus, and John Dumelo in the 2024 elections.

He previously considered running in 2024 but postponed due to financial constraints and family advice, including from his uncle, Albert Kan-Dapaah.

Lil Win emphasized his neutrality, citing friendships with both NPP and NDC members, and aims to leverage his community contributions, such as founding Great Minds International School, to win support.
