Kwame Baffour Abronye Retains NPP Bono Regional Chairmanship

Majority of the 281 NPP delegates in the Bono Region have retained the incumbent Chairman Kwame Baffour Abronye in the regional delegates elections with 201 votes cast.
The Chairman-elect Kwame Baffour Abronye has sent a warning to the NDC that he is going to work together with all the contesting candidates to redeem the 11 seats lost in the 2024 general elections.
He said he has the strategy to deal with the NDC and thanked the delegates for voting for his comeback.
The elected regional Communication Officer, Fahad Usman, explained that he will work to ensure all the communication officers will be resourced and trained to achieve the battle ahead of them come the 2028 general elections.
The elections committee chairperson, Jenifer Oforiwaa Queen, emphasised that the peaceful nature of the election gives an indication of how prepared the party is to capture power in the general elections in 2028.
In the chairmanship race, Kwame Baffour Abronye secured 201 votes, followed by Joseph Mensah with 44 votes, Evans Afri Gyan-Yeboah with 31 votes, and Hon. Yaw Afful with 33 votes.
Kate Gyamfour was elected First Vice Chairman with 252 votes, while Peter Asoma Boampong obtained 29 votes.
Razack won the Organiser position with 229 votes against Darlington’s 52 votes.
Fahad Usman emerged as Communications Officer with 170 votes, defeating Baba Amando who polled 111 votes.
Fiasial was elected Nasara Coordinator with 177 votes.
In the Women’s Organiser contest, Samira edged Doris with 142 votes to 139.
Veronica Tufour won the Treasurer position with 131 votes, followed by Henry Osei with 124 votes and Kassim Siaka with 25 votes.
Kofi Ofosu Boateng was elected Secretary with 187 votes against Baffour Asare’s 93 votes.
Bamba secured the Youth Organiser position with 102 votes, ahead of Shadrech with 91 votes, Joffery with 58 votes and Suwari with 29 votes.
Kwaku Antwi Adjie was elected Second Vice Chairman with 123 votes. Issah Issaka obtained 89 votes, while Kwadwo Agyekum polled 68 votes.
