Kotoko will ‘not resume’ league participation until requests are met – IMC Chairman

The Interim Management Committee of Asante Kotoko has announced that the team will not play in the Ghana Premier League again until the Ghana Football Association meets their demands for new security measures. This decision comes after a fan of the team, known as “Nana Pooley,” was stabbed to death.

Asante Kotoko and their rival team, Hearts of Oak, sent a joint proposal to the Ghana Football Association on Monday, February 10. In the proposal, they asked for better security at league venues to stop hooliganism. Nana Apinkrah, a representative of the team, expressed his disappointment with the Ghana Football Association’s response to their demands. He stated that the team will not return to playing football until all of their requests for new security measures are granted.
