Kennedy Agyapong Names Charles Bissue as Campaign Administrator for NPP Flagbearer Bid

New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential aspirant Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has appointed Charles Bissue, a former MP for Kumawu and a key ally, as his Campaign Administrator, bolstering his grassroots efforts ahead of the January 31, 2026, primaries.
The announcement, made on October 15, 2025, underscores Agyapong’s strategy to leverage Bissue’s organizational prowess and political experience from his tenure as National Petroleum Authority (NPA) Board Chair and in the party’s 2024 campaign.
Bissue, known for his vocal support of Agyapong during the 2023 primaries, will oversee operations, delegate coordination, and fundraising, aiming to challenge frontrunner Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in a race where Agyapong secured the No. 1 ballot spot on October 10.
Agyapong’s team, emphasizing unity and issue-based campaigning, views Bissue’s role as pivotal in mobilizing delegates across 276 constituencies. “Charles brings unmatched dedication and a proven track record in advancing NPP’s vision,” Agyapong stated in a release, aligning with his “divine mandate” narrative from spokesperson Kwasi Kwarteng.
Bissue, 46, resigned from NPA in September 2025 amid the $2 million Skytrain scandal probe but remains a staunch Agyapong supporter. His appointment follows Agyapong’s nationwide tour launch, focusing on economic transformation and anti-corruption.
