Kennedy Agyapong Can Defeat NDC If He Wins NPP Primaries – Aide

A law lecturer and aide to New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer hopeful, Kennedy Agyapong, has expressed strong confidence that the former Assin Central Member of Parliament has what it takes to defeat the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) if he emerges winner of the party’s presidential primaries.

Speaking on JoyNews’ AM Show on Monday, December 29, Kobby Amoah said Mr Agyapong represents the kind of leadership many Ghanaians are currently seeking, particularly at a time when unemployment remains a major national concern.

According to him, national security reports and challenges such as illegal mining (galamsey) all point to unemployment as a root problem, which Mr Agyapong has consistently shown commitment to addressing.

Mr Amoah noted that the NPP flagbearer aspirant has a proven record in job creation through his private business ventures, including factories and investments across various value chains.

“He tells people that as a politician, he has created thousands of jobs, and he shows evidence of his factories and business activities,” he said.

He added that Mr Agyapong often outlines constituency-specific development ideas during his campaign tours, aimed at improving livelihoods at the grassroots level.

Mr Amoah also highlighted Mr Agyapong’s proposal to relocate the Ministry of Agriculture to northern Ghana as a demonstration of his job-focused vision, saying the move could unlock the region’s vast agricultural potential and transform it into a major food production hub.

He stressed that Mr Agyapong’s emphasis on employment aligns with the NPP’s private sector–led development agenda, arguing that his experience as a successful entrepreneur positions him well to drive large-scale job creation if elected president
