NDC Manifesto Promises Four Months Maternity Leave, One Week Paternity Leave
Accra, Ghana – National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer John Mahama has unveiled plans to extend maternity leave and introduce paternity leave in Ghana.
Speaking at the NDC women’s manifesto launch on September 30, Mahama promised:
– Four months maternity leave for mothers
– One week paternity leave for married fathers
Eligibility for paternity leave requires proof of marriage.
Mahama emphasized the importance of supporting new parents during the critical early stages of parenting.
