Hajia Amina Adam Donates 500 T-Shirts and Bottled Water to Support Baba Jamal’s Ayawaso East Campaign

Hajia Amina Adam, who contested in the recent National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Primary for the Ayawaso East constituency, has demonstrated strong party unity by donating approximately 500 branded T-shirts featuring Baba Jamal’s image, along with several packs of bottled water, to bolster his general election campaign.

A delegation representing Hajia Amina Adam made the presentation to Baba Jamal, the NDC’s duly elected parliamentary candidate for Ayawaso East. Speaking on her behalf, spokesperson Abdul Salam Daaru explained that the gesture reflects Hajia Amina’s deep commitment to post-primary reconciliation and collective success.

“Hajia firmly believes that unity and peace must prevail after every internal contest for the good of the party,” Mr. Daaru stated. “In that spirit, she has presented these items—about 500 T-shirts branded with Baba Jamal’s image and bottled water—to strengthen his campaign efforts and boost the National Democratic Congress’s chances of winning the Ayawaso East Parliamentary seat in the upcoming elections.”

The donation is seen as a powerful symbol of solidarity within the NDC ranks following what was reportedly a keenly contested primary. Hajia Amina Adam, who garnered significant support during the race, has publicly thrown her full weight behind the party’s chosen flagbearer, urging her supporters to do the same.

Mr. Daaru further appealed directly to all former backers of Hajia Amina Adam: “We call on every supporter of Hajia Amina to rally fully behind Baba Jamal as the party’s candidate. Let us unite our efforts to secure victory for the NDC in Ayawaso East and contribute to the broader national mandate.”

Ayawaso East remains one of the closely watched constituencies in the Greater Accra Region, known for its urban voter base and competitive electoral history. The NDC is aiming to consolidate its position in the area ahead of the general elections, and gestures like this donation are expected to help heal any lingering divisions from the primary and energise grassroots mobilisation.

Baba Jamal and the Ayawaso East NDC campaign team are said to have received the items with appreciation, viewing them as a timely boost to visibility and supporter morale. The T-shirts, in particular, will be distributed to campaign volunteers, party faithful, and constituents to increase name recognition and enthusiasm in the run-up to the polls.
