GNFS retrieves decomposed body from septic tank in Sunyani

A decomposing body of a young woman was recovered from a septic tank at Sunyani Magazine in the Bono Region on Friday, February 28, 2025. The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) responded to a distress call at 5:30 pm and retrieved the body.

Firefighters from the Sunyani Municipal Fire Station, led by Station Officer Yahaya, rushed to the scene. They were later joined by Regional Operations Officer DO II Noekor.

Reports indicate that the victim was allegedly murdered by her boyfriend, who then dumped her body into the septic tank three weeks ago. The boyfriend has been arrested, and the body is in police custody to aid in investigations.
