Ghana Reveal Squad Numbers for 2026 FIFA World Cup

Ghana has confirmed the jersey numbers for its players ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with several key stars retaining their familiar shirts for the tournament.

In the goalkeeping department, Lawrence Ati-Zigi will wear the number 1 jersey, while St Patrick’s Athletic shot-stopper Joseph Anang takes number 12. Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare has been handed number 16.

Captain Jordan Ayew will continue with his preferred number 9 shirt, while Brandon Thomas-Asante takes number 10 and Antoine Semenyo opts for number 11.

Cyprus-based defender Derrick Luckassen, who was called up as a replacement for the injured Alexander Djiku, will wear number 23.

Midfield anchor Thomas Partey retains his traditional number 5 shirt. Other squad numbers include Gideon Mensah (14), Kwasi Sibo (8), Caleb Yirenkyi (3), and Baba Abdul Rahman (17).

Ghana are set to begin their Group L campaign against Panama on June 17 in Toronto, before taking on England on June 23 in Boston. They will conclude their group stage fixtures against Croatia on June 27 in Philadelphia.
