GES Reminds Schools to Observe Eid-Ul-Fitr and Easter Holidays; Welfare of Staying Boarders Ensured.

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has reminded all Regional Directors that Eid-Ul-Fitr and Easter are recognized statutory holidays in Ghana.
Eid-Ul-Fitr is observed on March 20th and Easter on April 3rd and 6th. All schools nationwide are expected to comply with public holiday arrangements to allow staff and students to observe these important national and religious festivities.
Management acknowledges that some boarding students may opt to remain on campus during the holidays. Schools are permitted to allow these students to stay, with heads required to make appropriate arrangements for their welfare and supervision.

Regional Directors are instructed to relay this directive to all Heads of Schools within their jurisdictions via Metro/Municipal/District Directors.
They are to ensure that necessary measures are in place for the safe accommodation, feeding, and supervision of any boarding students who choose to stay at school during the holiday period.
The GES appreciates cooperation in ensuring the smooth implementation of this directive
