Four Killed, Ten Injured as Russian Strikes Hit Ukrainian Cities

At least four people have been killed and ten others injured following a Russian attack on Ukraine, according to officials.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirmed the casualties, adding that critical infrastructure in the city was also damaged during the assault.

Meanwhile, authorities in the western city of Lviv reported no casualties after a missile strike. Writing on Telegram, Mayor Andriy Sadovyi said there was “no information” indicating injuries or deaths. He noted that civilian facilities and residential buildings were not affected by the strike.

Russia has intensified attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure in recent weeks, deploying drones and missiles in a pattern similar to tactics used during previous winters. The strikes have left tens of thousands of residents without electricity and heating as freezing temperatures grip the country.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has condemned the attacks, stating that their objective is “to create chaos and apply psychological pressure on the population.” He reiterated that targeting energy facilities during winter poses a serious humanitarian risk to civilians.

The situation remains tense as Ukraine braces for further attacks amid the ongoing conflict.
