Gospel singer Florence Obinim has addressed her husband Bishop Daniel Obinim’s controversial statement excluding her from his funeral arrangements.
Speaking in an interview on Akoma FM, Florence explained that she fully respects her husband’s wishes and would not impose herself if he insists she should have no role. “If he says I shouldn’t be part of his funeral arrangements when he dies, I will respect his decision,” she stated.
Bishop Obinim, founder of the International God’s Way Church, recently declared that only his biological children and members of the Abroso family should oversee his burial and funeral rites, leaving out his wife and other relatives.
Florence’s composed response has stirred wide debate on social media, with many weighing in on issues of marriage, family obligations, and the importance of honoring a person’s final wishes.
