Firefighters Injured as Blaze Destroys Seven Rooms in Akyem Moseaso

Two firefighters were injured while fighting a raging fire that engulfed a one-storey building in Akyem Moseaso, Eastern Region, on Friday, November 7, 2025.
The fire, reported at approximately 11:05 a.m., completely destroyed seven rooms and all their contents before being fully extinguished.
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) Anyinam Station, led by Assistant Station Officer Mubarak Ismaila, responded within five minutes. Upon assessing the fire’s severity, they requested backup from the Bunso Fire Station.
The combined teams contained the blaze by 11:30 a.m. and achieved full extinguishment at 12:09 p.m. Their swift action prevented the fire from spreading to adjacent buildings.
One firefighter was treated and discharged at the scene, while the second remains under observation at Anyinam Health Centre.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
The GNFS praised the courage and coordination of the responding crews and urged the public to adhere to fire safety measures, particularly with the onset of the harmattan season.
