Fire Outbreak at Commercial Shop in Bogoso Quickly Contained

Firefighters from the Bogoso Fire Station in the Prestea Huni-Valley Municipality swiftly responded to a distress call on Monday evening, successfully containing a fire outbreak at a commercial shop opposite the GOIL Filling Station at Golden Hotel Junction.

The blaze was reported at about 9:49 p.m. and involved a shop dealing in lubricants, car batteries, and assorted vehicle parts. By the time the fire crew arrived at 10:06 p.m., the fire had fully engulfed the shop and posed a serious threat to adjoining businesses and nearby structures.

Led by ADO I Sylvester Yiddana, the firefighters battled the flames and brought the situation under control by 10:26 p.m., fully extinguishing the fire approximately twenty minutes later.

Their quick and effective intervention prevented the blaze from spreading further, saving neighbouring shops and properties from destruction.

No injuries or casualties were recorded during the incident.

The cause of the fire is yet to be established, and investigations are currently underway to determine the trigger of the outbreak.

The Ghana National Fire Service commended the rapid response of the crew and urged the public to exercise caution with flammable materials, especially in commercial areas.
