Dr. Likee Highlights Work Ethic and Commitment to Mentoring Young Talent

Popular Ghanaian comedian and actor Dr. Likee has opened up about his strong work ethic and dedication to nurturing emerging talent in the creative industry.

Speaking on DayBreak Hitz on Hitz FM, the actor revealed that he spends his time productively even when he is not actively shooting skits.

“Whenever I’m not shooting, I’m learning and planning,” he said, emphasizing the importance of continuous self-development and preparation in maintaining relevance and producing quality content.

Beyond his personal growth, Dr. Likee noted that he actively supports young and upcoming skit makers who show potential but lack exposure. According to him, encouragement and recognition can significantly boost their confidence.

“Sometimes all they need is confidence,” he added, explaining that he often reaches out to affirm their talent and motivate them to keep going.

He also disclosed that his passion for helping others predates his fame, revealing that he used to support between 30 and 50 people even before entering the acting industry.

Dr. Likee stressed that his generosity comes naturally, especially when he identifies genuine talent, and he expects nothing in return—although he appreciates the respect shown by those he has supported.

His remarks highlight the growing role of established creatives in mentoring the next generation within Ghana’s entertainment industry.
