Funeral Arrangements Announced for Late Madam Adwoa Tiwaa of Yaw Sarpong and Asomafo

The family of the late Madam Adwoa Tiwaa, a cherished member of the renowned gospel group Yaw Sarpong and Asomafo, has released detailed funeral arrangements for her final farewell.
Madam Tiwaa, affectionately called Maame Tiwaa by fans and colleagues, passed away at the age of 60. Her distinctive voice and powerful stage presence made her a beloved figure in Ghanaian gospel music for many years.
The burial service will take place on Saturday, April 11, 2026. Activities begin with her laying in state at Presby Park, Bantama opposite Sefah Boakye Hospital starting early in the morning. The burial mass will follow at 9:00 a.m. at the same venue, after which she will be laid to rest at Domeabra Ahafoman in the Ashanti Region.
Final funeral rites and tributes will continue later that afternoon at Presby Park, Bantama, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

A thanksgiving service is scheduled for the following day, Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Sokoban Ampayoo New Jerusalem Church from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Additional funeral activities will take place in Bantama afterwards.
