The Headmaster of Dormaa Senior High School, Mr. Asante Armstrong, has appealed to the school’s old students, members of the Dormaa community and other stakeholders to support the development of the school.
According to him, the school’s impressive academic performance this year, with some students recording as many as eight A’s and seven A’s, has increased public interest in Dormass, resulting in a surge in demand for admission.
However, he noted that the school is unable to accommodate all prospective students due to inadequate infrastructure and facilities.
Mr. Armstrong said the school’s current achievements did not come on a silver platter, stressing the need for collective support to help the school meet its developmental goals.
He made the appeal when members of the Dormaa Senior High School Old Students Association, popularly known as DOSA, held their congress on 19 September 2026.
The President of DOSA, Justice Eric Baah, also called on old students to come together and support the school, noting that many schools that have attained greater heights have benefited significantly from the contributions of their old students.
Meanwhile, the Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Esq. Joseph Addai Akwaboah, who is also an old student of Dormaa Senior High School, has called on DOSA members to support students who participate in the National Science and Maths Quiz.
He further disclosed that he is aware of plans by the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) to procure buses for schools this year, and promised to make efforts to secure one for Dormaa Senior High School.
