In a strongly worded press release issued Tuesday, the family declared that no final funeral date has been approved, with ongoing consultations with traditional authorities still in progress.

Autopsy & Investigations: Ongoing in Ghana and Germany; no burial until complete.

Children’s Exams: Several of Lumba’s children abroad are in critical academic periods.

International Mourners: Relatives and friends need adequate time to travel.

Unresolved Death Questions: Conflicting accounts demand full transparency.

Allegations Against Abusuapanyin Kofi Owusu:

Breached Mediation & Court Orders: Restricted from handling funeral funds.

Illegally Withdrew GH¢200,000 from Cal Bank funeral account without family consent.

Collaborated with Priscilla Ofori (Odo Broni) and Collins Owusu Amankwah in the unauthorized transaction.

The family condemned public statements and media interviews endorsing the dissolved funeral committee, accusing them of undermining traditional protocols and family unity.

Official Stance:

No approved funeral date exists.

No individual or dissolved committee has authority to set one.

No funds may be used without the new committee’s authorization.

The family urged calm and asked the public, traditional leaders, and media to disregard all unauthorized announcements. They pledged a dignified funeral and full transparency in the investigation into Lumba’s death.
