How MP allegedly squeezed Dafeamekpor’s balls during vetting chaos
A shocking incident occurred during a chaotic vetting session in Ghana’s Parliament last Thursday, with Akim Oda MP Alexander Akwasi Acquah claiming that South Dayi MP and Majority Chief Whip Rockson Nelson-Dafeamekpor was allegedly assaulted by a fellow MP.
According to Acquah, the incident happened when one MP crawled under the table and squeezed Dafeamekpor’s private parts, causing him to scream in pain.
The moment was not captured on camera, and Acquah refused to reveal the name of the suspect MP.
The turmoil erupted during the vetting of ministerial nominees Kwabena Mintah Akandoh and Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, as tensions flared between the Minority and Majority caucuses.
The disagreement escalated into physical confrontations, with some Minority members damaging tables and microphones in an attempt to halt proceedings.
Speaker Alban Bagbin has since suspended four MPs, including Dafeamekpor, and instituted a bipartisan committee to probe the incident .
