Change of Schools Tops Concerns of Most Students in CSSPS Process – Western Region Coordinator
Free Senior High School Coordinator for the Western Region, Mr. Nicholas Yankey, has observed that requests for change of schools dominate concerns raised by students at resolution centres across the region.
He attributed the high number of school change requests to abuse of the Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS).
Speaking on the PENT Morning Show, Mr. Yankey also revealed that some parents simply abdicate their responsibilities by leaving the selection of schools entirely in the hands of their children’s teachers.
He urged students who have already settled on their school choices to focus on preparing themselves mentally and studying hard, regardless of the school they have been placed in.
Mr. Yankey stressed that every school is capable of delivering quality education if students apply themselves diligently.
