Bills Micro-Credit Limited has suspended officers involved in an incident captured in a viral video circulating on social media and has handed them over to the police for further investigation.
In an update issued by the company’s management, the decision was taken following a directive from the Board after the video sparked public concern online.
According to the statement, the officers seen in the video have been immediately suspended pending the outcome of investigations. The company also confirmed that the individuals have been handed over to the Ghana Police Service to assist with independent investigations into the matter.
Management further disclosed that the Board has reached out to the customer involved in the incident and will continue to engage with her as investigations progress.
Bills Micro-Credit Limited emphasized its commitment to maintaining professional conduct and accountability in its operations.
The company also assured the public of its full cooperation with law enforcement authorities and stated that further updates will be provided as the investigation continues.
