Award-Winning Broadcaster Berma Tenten Joins Adwumapa FM Techiman

Renowned Ghanaian broadcast journalist and media personality, Ndo Stephen Kwasi, popularly known as Berma Tenten, has officially joined Adwumapa FM, marking a new chapter in his distinguished media career.

 

With over a decade of experience in journalism, radio broadcasting, and investigative reporting, Berma Tenten has built a strong reputation as one of the most respected voices in regional broadcasting. Known for his fearless interviewing style, development-focused journalism, and strong advocacy for social justice, he has consistently used the media as a tool for accountability and community transformation.

 

Career Journey

 

Before joining Adwumapa FM, Berma Tenten served at Gaskiya FM from 2015 to 2026, where he played a key role as Host and News Editor. During his time there, he hosted the station’s flagship Morning Show and the influential socio-political programme FACE2FACE Show, engaging policymakers, traditional authorities, and public officials on critical national and local issues.

 

He also supervised editorial operations, coordinated news coverage, and produced impactful documentaries and investigative reports highlighting social and developmental concerns.

 

Earlier in his career, he worked with Royals FM as a broadcast journalist and began his professional media journey at Top Radio in 2013 during a production attachment in Accra.

 

Awards and Recognition

 

Berma Tenten’s contribution to journalism has earned him several prestigious recognitions.

 

In 2025, he emerged as one of only two Ghanaian journalists selected among ten across Africa to receive the Farm Radio International Just Communicate Campaign Award for outstanding reporting on continental debt and illicit financial flows.

 

He was also named Best Socio-Political Programme Host by the Ghana Journalists Association (Bono, Ahafo and Bono East Branch) in 2018 for excellence in political and public interest broadcasting.

 

Additionally, the New Era Foundation honoured him with the Human Development Award for his contributions to community empowerment and social development through media.

 

Educational Background

 

Berma Tenten holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language from the University of Education, Winneba and a Diploma in Mass Communication and Public Relations from the Media Today Institute in Accra. He also possesses certification in Sign Language Interpretation.

 

He remains an active member of the Ghana Journalists Association and the Energy and Extractive Sector Reporters network in Ghana.

 

His move to Adwumapa FM is expected to strengthen the station’s programming and deepen its influence within the Bono East media landscape.
