Atletico Madrid Take Control with 2-0 Win Over Barcelona

Atletico Madrid secured a crucial 2-0 victory over FC Barcelona in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final clash at the Camp Nou.

The turning point came in the 42nd minute when Pau Cubarsi was sent off for bringing down Giuliano Simeone as the last man. From the resulting free kick, Julian Alvarez curled a stunning effort into the top corner in first-half stoppage time.
Barcelona pushed for a response after the break, with Marcus Rashford hitting the crossbar from a free kick, but Atletico held firm.
