Hon. Fosu Kyei Kingsford, Assembly Member for Kosane-Besease in Dormaa Central and spokesperson to the Municipal Chief Executive, has called on the government to step up efforts to resolve the pre-tertiary teachers’ strike, which has entered its second week.
He noted that teachers, parents and stakeholders are concerned about the disruption to academic work, but declined to describe the situation as the government disappointing teachers, pointing out that monthly salaries are still being paid and the dispute centres on outstanding allowances.
