Arsenal Crowned Premier League Champions After 22-Year Wait

English club Arsenal have won the Premier League title for the first time in 22 years after Manchester City were held to a 1-1 draw by AFC Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.
The result confirmed Arsenal as champions with one game remaining, as Mikel Arteta’s side moved four points clear at the top of the table, leaving City unable to catch them on the final day of the season.
Bournemouth took the lead in the first half through Eli Kroupi Jr, whose curling strike stunned the defending champions. Although Erling Haaland scored a late equaliser deep into stoppage time, it was not enough to keep Manchester City’s title hopes alive.
The triumph marks Arsenal’s 14th English league title and ends years of near misses after finishing runners-up in three consecutive seasons.
Manager Mikel Arteta has now guided the North London club back to the summit of English football, completing one of the club’s most memorable campaigns in recent history.
Celebrations erupted across North London at the final whistle as Arsenal supporters celebrated a historic achievement that had eluded the club since their famous “Invincibles” era in 2004.
Arsenal will conclude their league campaign away to Crystal Palace on May 24 before turning attention to the UEFA Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain in Budapest.
