Apostle Owusu Bempah Fires Back at Anthony Karbo, Threatens to Withdraw Prayers for Bawumia and NPP

Founder and leader of Glorious Word Power Ministries, Apostle Dr. Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah, has strongly criticised former Lawra MP and Senior Advisor to the Bawumia Campaign, Anthony Abayifaa Karbo, over his recent comments dismissing the role of prophecies in elections and accusing some prophets of receiving information from politicians.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosiisen show, Owusu Bempah described Karbo’s remarks as a general attack on the prophetic ministry and expressed deep disappointment.

“I wasn’t happy with the way Anthony Karbo spoke. If he claims he doesn’t believe in prophets, I am surprised because he has visited my house before with Sammy Awuku, and I prophesied that Akufo-Addo would be president in 2016. They were very happy about this prophecy. Did he tell me to say what I said?” he questioned.

The cleric challenged Karbo to name specific prophets he accuses of receiving information from politicians, insisting that the comments were a broad condemnation of the prophetic office.

“Although he didn’t mention names, I am also a prophet. I have made several prophecies about politics that have all come to pass. He should name the prophets who get information from politicians for their prophecies. He spoke generally to all prophets, so he should mention a specific name if he is referring to me,” Owusu Bempah stated.

He further declared that he would no longer pray for Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and certain members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), citing repeated disrespect toward prophets.

“I will no longer pray for Bawumia and his people because they have disrespected us a lot. I know who will win the upcoming election, but I won’t disclose it yet. I am waiting for the national election in 2028 to reveal who will win. God has shown it to me. There are individuals in the NPP that I will not pray for, but if God leads me to do so, I have no choice,” he added.

Owusu Bempah insisted that the prophetic ministry is genuine and relevant, noting that several of his political prophecies have come to pass, and urged respect for prophets rather than public condemnation.
