The Allied Health Professionals Council has arrested Enoch Oduru for allegedly operating as a laboratory and scan technician at Step to Christ Hospital in Mamprobi without the required qualifications or certification.
Mr Oduru was taken into custody on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.
A video shared on social media by Accra-based Citi FM showed the suspect being escorted into a police vehicle.
The suspect reportedly admitted during interrogation that he has no formal medical training and has been performing diagnostic procedures without authorization.
He is expected to appear in court on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, as part of ongoing efforts to clamp down on unlicensed medical practitioners and protect public safety.
Step to Christ Hospital has yet to issue an official statement regarding the arrest.
