Next Legal Steps

According to his lawyer, Sani Abdul Salam, the defence team is currently working to secure a certified true copy of the court ruling. This document is necessary to begin fulfilling the bail conditions.

He explained that the bail is intended to ensure Abu Trica’s availability for court proceedings, particularly as legal processes surrounding his extradition continue.

Granted a 15-day window for a legal challenge through a habeas corpus application

The High Court is currently dealing with multiple applications, including efforts by the defence to block the extradition.

Mr Abdul Salam emphasised that the legal team is committed to fully complying with court directives while continuing to pursue all available legal options.

Continued hearings on extradition challenges

A new trial date to be announced
