Abdul Jalilu Declares Bid for NDC Lower West Akim Chairmanship, Pledges Unity and Peace
Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Lower West Akim, Hon. Abdul Jalilu, has announced his decision to contest for the Constituency Chairmanship in this year’s NDC Constituency Executive Elections.
Hon. Jalilu, who previously led the party in the constituency, said his decision is anchored on the need to restore lasting unity and peace in the party.
“I am the best person to bring unity and peace to the party in Lower West Akim Constituency,” he stated.
According to him, the party can only retain the Lower West Akim seat and deliver a resounding victory for the NDC in 2028 if it remains united at the branch and constituency levels.
Hon. Jalilu has made a passionate appeal to delegates to give him their mandate.
He noted that as a former Chairman, he understands the challenges of the constituency and has the experience to be a father for all, without discrimination.
“I humbly plead with all delegates to vote massively for me as your next Constituency Chairman. I have done it before and I will do it again. Together, let us unite our party, strengthen our branches, and make NDC more attractive in Lower West Akim,” he appealed.
He promised an all-inclusive, transparent and accessible leadership that will work closely with branch executives, ward coordinators, elders, youth and women’s wing to rebuild the party’s structures.
Lower West Akim, currently held by NDC MP Owen Kwame Frimpong, is now a strategic constituency for the NDC in the Eastern Region.
