11-Day-Old Baby Girl Stolen from Agogo Presbyterian Hospital After Mother Hands Her to Stranger for Washroom Break

A new mother in Ghana is heartbroken after her 11-day-old daughter was stolen from Agogo Presbyterian Hospital in the Ashanti Region.

Felicia Obenewaa Antwi says she met a young woman at the hospital who seemed kind. The stranger said she loved babies because she had lost her own child. When Felicia needed to use the washroom quickly, she handed her newborn to the woman — just for a few minutes.

But when she returned, both the woman and the baby were gone.

“I asked people around, and they said the lady had just walked out with my baby,” Felicia cried in a video that has gone viral.

She is now begging the public for help. “Please, if you see my baby or the woman, tell the police right away,” she said.

The baby was wearing a pink outfit and has fair skin with a little curly hair.

Police in Agogo have launched a full search. Hospital leaders say they are checking security cameras and talking to everyone who was there. They have also added more guards to stop this from happening again.

People in the community are shocked and angry. Many want stricter rules — like ID checks for all visitors and special bands on babies that sound an alarm if they leave the ward.

Anyone with information should call the Agogo Police Station or go to the nearest station.

This sad story is a strong warning: never leave your child with a stranger, even for a second. Let’s hope this little girl is found safe and returned to her mom soon
