You’re not in your movie industry; be more serious to assist Agric Minister – Habib Iddrisu to Dumelo

Habib Iddrisu, the First Deputy Minority Whip, has some words of wisdom for John Dumelo, the Deputy Minister-designate for Food and Agriculture. During Dumelo’s vetting before the Appointments Committee of Parliament on February 25, Iddrisu advised him to take his new role seriously and support the Minister of Agriculture.
Iddrisu cautioned Dumelo not to treat the ministry like the movie industry, where he has had success as an actor. “Try to assist your minister, and be serious about your role,” Iddrisu said. He emphasized that the ministry is huge, and Dumelo should not try to “jump the gun.”
Dumelo, who has also ventured into business and politics, acknowledged his achievements in film and entrepreneurship but admitted that he is still striving for success in politics. “I’m a man of many talents,” he said. “I did well in the movie industry, and I’m doing well in business. But in politics, I’m yet to do well.”
As a newly elected Member of Parliament for the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency, Dumelo has a lot to prove in his new role . Iddrisu’s advice is timely, and it remains to be seen how Dumelo will take on the challenges of his new position.
