VIP Transport Boss Agya Wiase Gifts Dedicated Female Driver a Bus Worth GH₵500,000 After 11 Years of Loyal Service

Yaw Amponsah Marfo, popularly known as Agya Wiase and CEO of VIP Jeoun Transport, has surprised one of his longest-serving employees with a life-changing gift: a brand-new bus valued at approximately GH₵500,000.
The recipient, Florence Marfo, holds a unique place in the company as the first and only female driver in Agya Wiase’s fleet. Since joining in 2015, Florence has safely operated VIP buses on demanding long-distance routes connecting Accra to major destinations including Kumasi, Techiman, and Wa.
In an emotional interview, Florence shared that she had recently endured a difficult period. She was off work for nearly a year while battling a serious illness. Upon recovering, her mother fell gravely ill, requiring Florence to step away again to care for her. Tragically, her mother passed away during this time.
When Florence eventually returned to work, Agya Wiase called her aside and presented her with the bus as a token of appreciation for her unwavering dedication and professionalism over more than a decade.
Visibly moved during the interview, Florence recounted her boss’s words: he told her she deserved the gift because, in all her years of service, she had never once caused him financial loss or left him in debt due to any accident or mismanagement.
“Agya Wiase has gifted a bus to me. If you ever see him, kindly thank him for me,” she said, her voice filled with gratitude.
Florence, who will turn 49 on April 28, 2026, explained that while she does not know the exact purchase price, insurance providers would typically value the vehicle between GH₵400,000 and GH₵500,000 for full comprehensive coverage.
The heartwarming gesture has drawn widespread praise on social media, with many Ghanaians commending Agya Wiase for recognizing loyalty, hard work, and integrity in an industry often marked by high pressure and long hours. Florence’s story also shines a light on the growing, though still limited, presence of women behind the wheel in Ghana’s commercial transport sector.
