UEW Hospital Suspends OPD Services Due to GAUA Strike

The University of Education Hospital in Winneba has temporarily suspended Outpatient Department (OPD) services due to the ongoing strike by the Ghana Association of University Administrators (GAUA).
The suspension means patients seeking outpatient care at the facility will be unable to access OPD services until further notice.
In a notice to patients and visitors, the hospital said the suspension would remain in effect until the strike is called off.
“Please be informed that Outpatient Department (OPD) services have been suspended due to the ongoing GAUA strike,” the hospital said.
The hospital apologised for the inconvenience caused and advised patients to contact the hospital administration for further information.
“OPD services will resume when the strike is called off,” the notice added.
The suspension affects outpatient services at the UEW Hospital and comes as the GAUA strike continues.
