Truck Rolls Back, Hits Taxi at Tanoso on Kumasi–Techiman Highway

Another rollback accident has occurred at Tanoso along the Kumasi–Techiman Highway, narrowly averting a potentially fatal situation.

The incident involved a heavy-duty truck whose driver reportedly lost control while navigating the stretch. In an attempt to prevent further damage, the driver skillfully sidetripped the truck’s bucket into a ditch near the Tano River.

In the process, the truck struck a taxi that was reportedly tailgating, causing damage to the vehicle. No fatalities have been reported so far, though the extent of injuries, if any, remains unclear.

The accident briefly disrupted traffic along the busy highway as motorists slowed down to navigate the scene.

Authorities are expected to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident, while road users have once again been cautioned against tailgating and urged to exercise patience and vigilance, especially on high-risk sections of the highway.
