Train Collision in Central Wales Claims One Life, Injures 15

A tragic train accident occurred in the village of Llanbrynmair, central Wales, on Monday, resulting in one fatality and 15 injuries.

British Transport Police Superintendent Andrew Morgan confirmed the death, stating, “We can sadly confirm a man has died following this evening’s incident.”

The injured, sustaining minor injuries, were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Morgan added that transport police are working to “understand the circumstances leading up to this collision.”

Emergency response efforts included a helicopter from St Athan and other agencies.
