Starlink Set to Revolutionize Ghana’s Internet Landscape: Satellite Services to Launch by End of August

In a move poised to transform Ghana’s digital landscape, Starlink, the satellite internet service provider, is set to launch its operations in the country by the end of August 2024. This follows the successful completion of regulatory approvals and due diligence by the National Communications Authority (NCA).

With Starlink’s entry into the Ghanaian market, residents can expect faster, more reliable, and widespread internet connectivity. The service will operate locally under the name Space X Starlink GH LTD, marking a significant milestone in the country’s digital development.

Ghana will become the 12th African country to welcome Starlink, which has been expanding its footprint on the continent since its launch last year. The introduction of Starlink’s satellite internet services is expected to boost competition, drive innovation, and bridge the digital divide in Ghana.
