The Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC) has announced a tariff hike for the third quarter of 2024, effective October 1. The increase sees electricity tariffs rise by 3.02% and water tariffs by 1.86%.
According to the PURC, the adjustment considers key parameters such as inflation, exchange rate fluctuations, and changes in gas prices.
“The Commission carefully weighed these factors to balance current economic conditions with industry competitiveness and sustainability,” the PURC stated.
